Bud Abbott plans to kill Ingrid, Costello’s pet turkey, for Thanksgiving. But Lou’s raised her from an egg! Not only has Bud invited himself to Lou’s for Thanksgiving dinner, he’s invited Ken Niles and his wife as well.
This week’s guest Jane Wyman joins in a routine, “Water Under the Bridge” But then, Ingrid runs away! Can Lou find her? Will Bugs Bunny help? Probably not. Officer Flaherty, however, is a horse of a different color.
Jokes
Bud Abbott: I couldn’t even ask my butler to serve you at dinner.
Lou Costello: Serve me at dinner? What kind of people are you expecting, cannibals?
Bud Abbott: Talk sense!
Lou Costello: Dracula? Frankenstein? What is this, “Eat the People”?
Lou Costello: Look, I didn’t start nuthin’. I was just sayin’ somethin’ that’s really used as a figure of speech, like “gone with the wind.”
Gone with the wind?
Bud Abbott: What wind?
Lou Costello: Whaddaya mean, what wind?
Bud Abbott: Well, there’s the east wind, the west wind, the south wind, the north wind…
Lou Costello: Any wind. Go ahead, pick out a wind.
Bud Abbott: That’s immaterial to me.
Lou Costello: Alright, the immaterial wind.
