Got any money? A classic Abbott and Costello routine, where Bud Abbott is trying to borrow money from his pal,, Lou Costello. And Lou’s got in the neighborhood of 28 dollars … A routine they did many times, on radio, movies, and television. This version is taken from Abbott and Costello: The Christmas Show (Colgate Comedy Hour).

Abbott: Got any money?

Costello: Sure I got money.

Abbott: You have got money?

Costello: I got in the neighborhood of 28 dollars.

Abbott: Then you have 28 dollars?

Costello: In the neighborhood. In the vicinity, I got about 3 dollars.

Abbott: Then you have 3 dollars?

Costello: Roughly speaking. When you smooth it out, I got a buck.

Abbott: Well, give me the buck.

Costello: Here it is. [Lou hands Bud the dollar – Bud goes to put it in his side pocket, but puts it in Lou’s side pocket instead! Lou then transfers it to his other side pocket, to keep it safe from Bud]
